Using Live Connect in Firefox, the Desktop Access window closes when clicking on another tab

SYMPTOMS

When using Live Connect > Desktop Access from Firefox browser, and displaying the connection in a new Window, the Desktop Access window automatically closes when navigating to another browser tab. It opens again when clicking back on the Live Connect browser tab.

 

CAUSE

Firefox has a security feature that closes external windows when their source iFrame becomes hidden.

 

SOLUTION

This is expected behaviour in the Firefox browser. The only workaround is to use a different web browser to use Live Connect.
